Reegan brought a Book Sleeve Pattern
as a fun quilting project to create for Spring Break 2024
while spending the week
chez Grandmaman et Grandpa.
chez Grandmaman et Grandpa.
Reegan found some fabric from the
Tula Pink Cotton Fabric "Free Spirit Curiouser & Curiouser"
with an Alice in Wonderland theme in Grandmaman's scrap box.
Then she scoped out a perfect solid to complement the print.
Reegan decided on a postage stamp pattern and
cut her squares to 2 1/2 inches.
Reegan machine quilted a two layer quilt sandwich with a variegated thread using the walking foot technique. She designed a diagonal pattern, pulled the bobbin thread to the top and buried the threads using a self threading needle.
The quilting was done through two layers as the lining needed to be separate for the book sleeve pattern.
This is the perfect project for a book lover!
Bravo Reegan!
